The tour starts at Luxor and makes it way down to Edfu and Aswan before sailing back up to Luxor again. Along the way, you can feast your eyes on some of the most incomparable monuments built in human civilization. In the once religious capital of Egypt, Luxor, you will find temples erected to the glory of Amun-Ra and the resting places of Seti I and King Tut, among other ancient Egyptian kings. Remains of the ancient pyramids lie just about 3 miles north of Edfu. The Botanical Garden in Aswan is a stunning display of rare and exotic plants, and you can sail there on a felucca, a traditional sailboat of the Nile.

The tour takes care of round-trip airport transfers and provides a buffet spread for breakfast as well as lunch and dinner every day of the cruise. You can join the excursion listed on the itinerary for the day or choose to explore the area on your own. The laidback style of the tour is a nice change from the more rigorous routines offered by other tours, and gives you the chance of deciding your own agenda. Expect to pay anywhere from $399 to $699 for the tour, depending on when you choose to travel. Holiday departures will set you back an additional $300.
