NYFW: Day 7

02.13.2014

On Wednesday at NYFW, we saw runway shows from the likes of Steven Alan, Joie, Proenza Schouler, Elizabeth and James, Anna Sui, Marchesa, Sass & Bide, Betsey Johnson, Kaufmanfranco, Reed Krakoff, Lyn Devon, Douglas Hannant, Philosophy, Hugo Boss, Jeremy Scott, Nanette Lepore, Bibu Mohapatra and Michael Kors. Highlights from the shows include Marchesa’s glam evening wear, with dip-dyed foils and cross stitching. Proenza Schouler debuted statement coats in vibrant colors and patterns, showing a modern look while keeping loyal to the brand’s usual style. Reed Krakoff’s runway styles included electrically colored long wool cashmere vests and strapless dresses, of course many items were in his signature python, while also showing that knits would be a trend for him this Fall. Nanette Lepore kept with jewel toned colors for Fall, with purples in multiple shades including deep bordeaux and violet, while also debuting playfully feminine dresses and embroidered mini skirts.
