
Markets Media Group, the premier publishing firm for the global securities industry, is pleased to announce a management restructuring that will facilitate the next phase of the company’s growth.
Julia Schieffer will become Chief Operating Officer of Markets Media Group. Schieffer is Founder and Editor of MMG-owned DerivSource, a leading online information source for OTC and post-trade professionals, and she has been Director, Operations Strategy at MMG.
“Julia has excelled in strategy, operations and marketing for the group,” said Mohan Virdee, CEO and newly named Chairman of Markets Media Group. “The COO role is a natural evolution of what she has been doing and I am very pleased for her to take this role.”
Ian Rycott, Director and Publisher at Markets Media Europe, will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer of Markets Media Europe, with dual reporting lines into Schieffer and Markets Media Europe CEO Dan Barnes.
Scott Galvin, Director and Commercial Manager at Markets Media Europe, will become the publisher of Global Trading magazine, working with Barnes, Rycott, Schieffer, and Global Trading Editor Nick Dunbar to grow that publication.
Adrian Northey, Head of Fixed Income Markets at Markets Media Group, will assume the role of Publisher of The DESK, MMG’s fixed income focused publication. Northey’s remit will be to continue to grow The DESK’s footprint globally, in both primary and secondary markets.
David Griffiths, Managing Director at Markets Media Group, will assume the title and role of President, Markets Media Group.
