The Markets Choice Awards Are Going Global!

 

Markets Media Group is pleased to announce that its flagship Markets Choice Awards is now officially a global event. The inaugural Global Markets Choice Awards will be held on Thursday, June 5 at the iconic Central Park Boathouse in New York.

 

Since its launch in 2013, the Markets Choice Awards have established an industry-leading awards franchise as a differentiated and unique event to recognize – and celebrate – the best of the best in capital markets trading and technology.

 

The MCAs historically were aimed at a North American audience and most award nominees and winners and event attendees hailed from the US. But with the program having attained a critical mass in reach, brand awareness and influence, and to better align with the globalization of the capital markets, the awards will now span the US, Europe and Asia.

 

“We’re thrilled to elevate the Markets Choice Awards to the Global Markets Choice Awards, to better reflect on the interconnected global markets we cover daily on Markets Media Group’s editorial platforms,” said Mohan Virdee, Markets Media Group CEO. “The market reception to this expansion has been fantastic and we look forward to a strong crop of nominations from large financial centers around the world.”

 

The GMCAs will retain the same theme of recognizing important constituencies of institutional trading and technology: buy-side traders, sell-side execution desks, exchanges and trading platforms, established technology providers, and emerging fintechs. Our methodology in selecting nominees and then winners is simple yet thorough, and keeps the focus on the most important opinions: those of market participants, i.e. the colleagues, customers and competitors of the nominees.

Mizuho Corporate Culture Award

The Jerome Pustilnik Visionary Award is named for Jerry Pustilnik, Co-Founder of Instinet and a pioneer in computerized stock trading. The Visionary Award is one of four Instinet Positive Change Awards recognizing achievements with far-reaching impact. The idea is to showcase individuals and firms who go beyond just excelling at their day jobs to also be agents for positive change in the world around us.

SUSTAINABILITY

The Positive Change Award for sustainability recognizes the critical importance that sustainability has on our future, as well as the increased emphasis that the financial industry is placing on sustainability as the new operational best practices. Many firms and individuals are making their mark in establishing the sustainability of our industry, and we hope this award in some small way helps promote this vital cause.

PHILANTHROPY

The Positive Change Award for philanthropy recognizes who in capital markets demonstrates support for charitable causes in an extraordinary and/or influential way.

DIVERSITY, INCLUSION & BELONGING

The Positive Change Award recognizes those who go above and beyond to advance the cause of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging in our industry.
