European Commission Urged to Extend Equivalence for UK CCPs

On 12 December 2024, ISDA and eleven other trade associations representing a broad group of market participants (AFME, AIMA, EAPB, EBF, EFAMA, Energy Traders Europe, EVIA, FIA, FIA EPTA, ICI and MFA ) sent a letter to Commissioner Albuquerque requiring that the European Commission extends the equivalence decision for UK CCPs in a non-time-limited manner and well in advance of 31 March 2025.

The current time-limited equivalence decision is set to expire on 30 June 2025.
