Artie Ambrose has been appointed Head of Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) Operations at Citi, effective August 1. Ambrose brings a strong background of working through organizational transformation and risk management to the role. He joins Citi from Goldman Sachs, where he was Global Head of Treasury Services Operations, responsible for helping develop the firm’s digital corporate and consumer banking businesses. At Citi, Ambrose will be responsible for driving and executing a TTS Operations strategy focused on reducing processing risk, delivering scalability, enhancing TTS’ products and services through greater automation and improving clients’ experience with Citi. He will report directly to Nicola Kane, Head of ICG Operations, and matrix into Shahmir Khaliq, Global Head, Treasury and Trade Solutions.
Mesirow, an independent, employee-owned financial services firm, has appointed Natalie A. Brown as CEO. Brown becomes the sixth CEO of Mesirow in its 85-year history and the first woman to serve in this role. Brown joined Mesirow in 2018, most recently serving as the firm’s President. Prior, she was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer. As part of this succession plan, Richard S. Price transitions from Chairman and CEO to the role of Executive Chairman.
Altaz Dagha has recently joined CME Group’s BrokerTec as Senior Director, BrokerTec Products, based out of Singapore. He is responsible for U.S. Treasuries client relationship management, sales and onboarding and BrokerTec’s hybrid platform in off-the-run U.S. Treasury instruments.joins BrokerTec from Coex Partners where he was Senior Director, Asia Rates. Prior to that, Dagha has held a variety of front office fixed income and FX related positions at BNP Paribas, Westpac Institutional Bank, Lloyds Banking Group and HSBC Investment Bank.
Horizon Software, a leading provider of electronic trading solutions and algorithmic technology, has announced the appointment of Olivier Masdebrieu as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Masdebrieu, who joins from Itiviti, will be responsible for continuing to develop Horizon’s technology platform and leading global teams to deliver new generation of strategic solutions.
Andrew Formica will retire from his role as Chief Executive Officer of Jupiter Asset Management and as a Director of the Company on October 1, 2022. He will be succeeded by Matthew Beesley, the Group’s Chief Investment Officer, who will take up the role of CEO with effect from that time, subject to customary regulatory approvals. He will be appointed to the Board of the Company and promoted to Deputy CEO with immediate effect. Beesley will retain his global Chief Investment Officer responsibilities during the transition.
BondLink has made key investments in its industry-leading team by hiring: Ted Damutz as regional director of Issuer Solutions; Robert Smith as regional director of Issuer Solutions; Emina Masic as regional director; and Alex Palazzolo as regional director of issuer solutions, largely serving Texas-based entities. Damutz previously spent three years as the treasury manager for the City of Raleigh. Smith has over 40 years of municipal experience, previously spending seven years as a senior vice president of relationship management at Moody’s. Before joining BondLink, Masic worked as a public finance investment banker at Truist Securities, Huntington, and Siebert Williams Shank. Palazzolo previously served as a vice president at Stifel Financial Corp.
KeyBanc Capital Markets, the corporate and investment banking arm of Cleveland-based KeyCorp, has added two industry veterans to its Fixed Income Sales & Strategy team: Richard Crose as director and Brian Delany as vice president. They report to Rick Turnage, managing director and head of fixed income middle market sales. Crose has more than a decade of experience working with middle market depository institutions and insurance companies, most recently at Duncan-Williams, in institutional fixed income sales. Delany has more than 30 years of trading and fixed income experience. Most recently, he served as a vice president in fixed income sales at Moreton Capital Markets.
Alicia Crighton, Managing Director at Goldman Sachs and Faris Matalka, Managing Director at Charles Schwab, have joined the OCC’s Board of Directors. Crighton is the global head of prime services clearing, futures clearing and cleared swaps at Goldman Sachs. Matalka has more than 20 years of experience in trading operations and risk management; he is currently head of trading operations and margin services at Charles Schwab, overseeing order management in equities, equity options and futures as well as relationships with market makers and U.S. exchanges.
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has named Tracy S. Combs as Director of the Salt Lake Regional Office. Combs joined the SEC in November 2015 as a staff attorney and member of the Cyber Unit in the Division of Enforcement for the San Francisco Regional Office where she worked on many high-profile insider trading, cybersecurity, and other cases. Tanya Beard, who has served as Acting Director since January 2022, remains as Assistant Regional Director of Enforcement. In addition, Kurt L. Gottschall, Director of the Denver Regional Office since 2018, is leaving the agency after more than 22 years of service. Jason J. Burt and Thomas M.
