NOMINATION DEADLINE: WEDNESDAY MARCH 15

Markets Media Group is pleased to present the 13th annual US Markets Choice Awards, which will take place in New York in May 2025.

Since the inaugural MCAs in 2013, Markets Media has built its industry-leading awards franchise as a differentiated and unique event to recognize – and celebrate – the best of the best in capital markets trading and technology. The program is based on a rigorous, market-focused selection process, with an emphasis on having the right senior people and most influential firms represented; once the preparation is complete, the final piece to the puzzle is to make the event as fun, lively and memorable as possible.

Last year’s MCA winners were typically strong, and included Marc Wyatt of T. Rowe Price for the Instinet Positive Change Award for Philanthropy; Nasdaq for Best Global Exchange Group; Goldman Sachs for Best Sell-Side Trading Desk; Sara Bakst of JPMorgan for Excellence in Fintech; Weimin Zhu of the Government of Singapore Investment Corp. for Excellence in Trading; and BlackRock for the inaugural Mizuho Corporate Culture Award.

Individual winners in MCA history have included some of the most influential names in capital markets. Lee Olesky, Co-founder and CEO of Tradeweb; Barbara Novick, Co-Founder of BlackRock; Duncan Niederauer of New York Stock Exchange; and Bill Brodsky, then CEO of CBOE are just a few of the top names who have delivered remarks from the MCAs podium.

Firms earning recognition have included buy-side institutions AllianceBernstein, Fidelity, Invesco, and Russell Investments; bulge-bracket banks such as Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citi, and Morgan Stanley; liquidity providers Citadel Securities and Virtu Financial; and global exchange operators CME Group and Intercontinental Exchange.

Over the years we’ve added new content such as the Instinet Positive Impact Awards, the Neil DeSena Market Advocate Award, and Rising Stars.

Our 2025 program will have the same theme of recognizing important sectors of institutional trading and technology: buy-side traders, sell-side execution desks, exchanges and trading platforms, established technology providers, and emerging fintechs. Our methodology in selecting nominees and then winners is simple yet thorough, and keeps the focus on the most important opinions: those of market participants, i.e. the colleagues, customers and competitors of the nominees.

Please stay tuned for program updates about the 2025 Markets Choice Awards.

The Jerome Pustilnik Visionary Award is named for Jerry Pustilnik, Co-Founder of Instinet and a pioneer in computerized stock trading. The Visionary Award is one of four Instinet Positive Change Awards recognizing achievements with far-reaching impact. The idea is to showcase individuals and firms who go beyond just excelling at their day jobs to also be agents for positive change in the world around us.

SUSTAINABILITY

The Positive Change Award for sustainability recognizes the critical importance that sustainability has on our future, as well as the increased emphasis that the financial industry is placing on sustainability as the new operational best practices. Many firms and individuals are making their mark in establishing the sustainability of our industry, and we hope this award in some small way helps promote this vital cause.

PHILANTHROPY

The Positive Change Award for philanthropy recognizes who in capital markets demonstrates support for charitable causes in an extraordinary and/or influential way.

DIVERSITY, INCLUSION & BELONGING

The Positive Change Award recognizes those who go above and beyond to advance the cause of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging in our industry.
